It's such a nice day let's take a walk around the village of Ag. Sarantas in Northern Ithaki. Wednesday 16th March 2005 |
| Ag. Sarantas, with it's great views across to Lefkada and over Aphales Bay, has over recent years been revived with a growing community made up of locals, ex-pats and newcomers. Once, this almost abandoned village was scattered with old ruins, decaying from neglect and abandonment, now these ruins are being renovated and brought back to life. Quaint cottages with old world charm make this northern Ithacan village a reminder of days past with a hope for the future. There's a sleepy feel to the place while you walk the narrow street that winds it's way through Ag. Sarantas. Say hello to the woman sweeping her steps and don't trip over the cat stretching out its' paws while it bakes in the warm, Spring sun.
