Mon 28 May - Left - Vathy bay-side on a sleepy Sunday morning. Bells were ringing and Cantors singing as Ithacans worshipped in the churches around the island for the 40 days after Easter liturgy. The long weekend didn't bring too many from the mainland to the island this year. The streets were much quieter than usual. that's not a bad thing. Gave the birds a chance to sing without being drowned out by traffic noises. Below Left - A birds eye view of Vathy harbour. A glistening bay welcomed in the occasional yacht and the early morning cloud lifted eventually to reveal another very warm and blue sky day until evening, when severe winds battered and ripped through the island for hours as soon as the sun set. Wed 30 May - Below - From grey skies to blue again yesterday. Heavy winds, muddy rain and gloomy skies were the dominant conditions over the past few days, but yesterday the atmosphere began to clear again exposing the vibrancy we have become accustomed to on Ithaca. |

| Left and below - The aqua waters of Afales and Kioni were spectacular yesterday. The wind which continued, had at least one upside, blowing the mist far away, leaving us with crystal clarity. |
