Ores Gallery opened its doors just before Christmas 2008, and last night, presented its premier performance of Jean Cocteau monologue, The Liar, with Ithaki actress Tomi Dendrinou. Ores Gallery provided some wine and food for a minimal entrance fee, and those who had not visited the Gallery before, had a little time to become acquainted with the new space in Vathy before Tomi Dendrinou took to the stage. It was a short and sweet performance which was enjoyed by all who attended. One ex-pat living in Vathy commented "I don't understand Greek and I still enjoyed it" Tomi Dendrinou is well known To Ithacan locals for her very expressive acting skills and 'The Liar' highlighted her gift.

Tomi Dendrinou will do one more performance of 'The Liar' tonight on the 18th January while next week 24,25 and 31 January, another Jean Cocteau monologue, presented by Ores Gallery, will be performed by another Ithacan actress, Maria Koughiannou for who it's been a little while since her last on stage performance.
