Kioni put on a pre-Carnival party for the northern Ithacans to keep the bay village in the loop during this festive time of the year. The grey and cold day didn't inhibit attendance or the fun. The community put on a generous spread of food and drink and all, including the kids, were very happy to prance around in their Carnival best. |

For the thousands of people who come to Kioni each year over the Summer months, many are return visitors who have fallen in love with this village and the island, and for them, seeing Kioni in its winter state is quite a surprise. The village returns to its traditional view, a world away from its Summer persona. |
