Greek Easter - Resurrection Ithaca Greece

For the Greek Easter Resurrection celebrations we headed up to the village of Exoghi for a very intimate and traditional ceremony in the tiny chapel just up from the village square. Ag. Marina church is deemed unsafe since the quakes.

A completely still night. No wind to blow out the candles this year. I was a bit hopeful that there would be no firecrackers, but of course there were, nothing like the spectacle down in Stavros with it's massive fireworks.
