| Two old friends from Mytica meet in Frikes. Esta and Dimitra both married Ithacans and came to live here. Esta sailed off to Australia with her husband and Dimitra has been living on Ithaca since 1946. Esta is here visiting friends and family while repairing her family home in Platrithia. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Yiorgia and Voula are here from Athens visiting their mother Lefki in Lahos. They take the opportunity whenever they can to come back to the island where they were raised. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| August 30th - Brothers Denis and Spiros Raftopoulos are in Frikes getting reacquainted with friends and relatives. Denis has been coming back regularly over the past years, but it's been 4 yrs since Spiros has been to Ithaca. | Barbara Kyriakakis is our honorary 'Who's Here' Pin-up girl. She wants to be in Ithaki so much, but is so tied up finishing her degree in Australia that she has to wait another year for that to be possible. | September 2nd - Nicoletta is here from Ypeiro interviewing old locals for their stories and histories. She intends to put together a cd on which these Ithacan locals and old people from all over Greece tell their stories in their own words. September 4th - It's been 9 years since Timo (Left) has been to Ithaca. He is an Actor in Germany and comes to us from the city of Cologne. Timo is here with his wife and two children staying in Kolieri where his father Erasimus, a writer, has a house. |

| September 5th - Tommi (Left) is here from Edinburgh, Scotland and knows Ithaca pretty well. Until last year, she worked in Vathy as Chef to the rich and famous in one of the Villas. Two seasons on Ithaca pretty much cements friendships and the love of the island, so even though she is tied down with work in Scotland and only has 1 short week free, Tommi had to come back just to see her friends and enjoy the beaches and sun. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Spiros spends whatever spare time he has in Kioni, far away from the stresses of his life in Athens where he is a doctor. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Sophia is on Ithaca for her Summer break, getting in a holiday while helping her parents in their Cafe in Kioni. | Roberto is here from Italy, staying in the house he has bought in Kioni. | September 24th - Ithaca is going to be on television!!! PLD Productions are filming the series 'Secrets and Mistakes' for ALPHA TV to be aired January 2004. They'll be filming in all the favourite haunts. Keep your eyes out, the extras may be members of your family or your friends. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| September 20th - Graham is one of the big shots in the Greek Islands Club and has come to Ithaca for a bit of a holiday. | September 22nd - Catharina and Roos are here from Holland. They are only here 4 days, but are enjoying every minute of their holiday. It's the first visit to Ithaca by Roos, but Catharina is already on her 3rd trip to our shores. She says she has been to all the Ionian islands and Ithaca is her absolute favourite. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| September 25th - Gavin and Sarah are in Perahori through Agriculture Tourism. A great alternative to package holidays. They live in Manchester in the UK where they run the Friends Of The Ionian Web site, FOI. Gavin, who makes documentaries for a living, tells us that there is one in the pipeline on Ithaca. He's here getting some complimentary footage. Gavin was first introduced to Ithaca through The Greek Islands Club in 1984. What a job. Sailing and windsurfing around Ithacas bays. September 26th - Dave Ayling is an ex-bank manager and Wendy Redpath is a sought after Chef (has cooked for Madonna no less). They are here from the UK on holiday in Lefki and looking for a place to settle. These two met in Peru and have been to lots and lots of Greek islands, but Ithaca is their favourite place so far. Who knows, Dave and Wendy could be in the locals pages in the future. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| October 10th - Richard and Natasha are here from London. They've been staying at Levendis and enjoying every minute of it. This is their 2nd time to Ithaca. Last year they didn't leave their Levendis cottage, this year they've decided to take in the sites of the island. We caught up with them on the coldest night so far and became friends in a matter of hours. Natasha is originally from Perth, but has lived in London for 6 years where she works in PR and Richard is a Solicitor who used to DJ in clubs.
