August is the hottest and most popular Summer month. It's packed with lots of Events, Concerts and Panighiria (Festivals). The days are long and the nights are warm. It's a good time to spend all day at the beach and all night at a Taverna or Café enjoying the atmosphere that Ithaki offers along with the sea breezes to cool you down. Lazy, blue sky days from Vathy to Kioni, with the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea lapping at the shores. The aroma of meat on the Spit permeates through all the villages and sweet aniseed on peoples' lips.
