As all the other Panighiria this Season, at the Anoghi Panighiri, attendance was lower than usual, and although I was still too sick to be fully conscious, I do believe people had a great time, as they always have. The temperature was mild and comfortable and the people filling the Anoghi village Square all seemed to be smiling. That's a pretty good sign. For me a big part of the Anoghi Panighiri is the local Cafe which stands at the center of the celebrations. With most of Ithaca now becoming up market in terms of Cafe modernism, the local Cafe here has all the character and charm to make this festival a real traditional event.
