<<The People ... The Dancing

The usual Panighiri band stayed home for the Platrithia Panighiri and a band from Patras came to play instead. There were PA stacks and professional size mixing desks, and enough reverb to reach Lefkada. As far as the band getting the crowd up to dance, they did a great job, although at times it did sound like they weren't all playing from the same music sheet. As it didn't seem to bother the band, the crowd didn't seem to mind either. The female singer had an excellent voice and the keyboard player was too loud (Seems this is a global thing, keyboard players are too loud no matter what style of music or country they play in) When local, Yianni Andrianatos got up to sing however, that's when the locals really let their hair down on the dance floor. He gave them all the encouragement they needed to let it all hang out.
