I was born and brought up in Athens, but Ithaca runs through my veins, and I have the Ionion Island madness (in the good-sense) in my flesh. I try and visit Ithaki at least twice a year, when I can, I find different routes and ways to get there – as the great poet Cavafis wrote: “ As you find your way to Ithaki, hope that your journey shall be a long one” because on a journey, what matters is not the destination, but the journey itself.
