Andreas is a Stavros local and the fresh
bread delivery man. As soon as the loaves come out of the wood oven
from the Stavros Bakery, Andreas is in his van and heading off around the
northern villages. Hang a plastic bag on your gate with the right
change and when you come out in the morning, a crusty loaf awaits you.
He's met along the road by all and sundry with the occasional Ouzo or Metaxa
offered to him/ As Andreas isn't one to turn down a drink, or two
or three, he's managed a few bingles on the road to sustenance, but luckily
he's still alive and kicking keeping a great tradition going. |
