Katerina was born in Vathy, went to school in Vathy, College in Athens and has worked in Frikes at their family restaurant Penelope, but when she married and started a family, left Frikes to join her husbands business in Vathy.

She studied advertising and marketing and would one day like to pursue that career, but for now she is happy being a young mother and running Captain Yiannis Hotel in Vathy with her husband.

Katerina has travelled the glamour route of London, Paris and Rome and knows her future ultimately lies in a big city, but for now, she loves Ithaca too much to want to leave.
