In Greece, Easter Sunday is about food, food, food, and more food, and don't let anyone tell you differently. The breaking of the Fast has most delirious with the prospect of devouring meat. Lamb on the Spit and any edible internal organs are the cause of great salivation. It's in the air, cooking smells wafting across the island, happy faces, wherever you look. At Easter the winter blues are turned to pink and everyone lets down their hair to celebrate Greek Easter Sunday by eating up BIG. |
