August
14th - Tony is straight off the ferry from doing the rounds of other
Greek islands to the Anoghi Panighiri. He's wasting no time raging with
his friend Costa Kamakamis who is also visiting Greece from Australia. Tony's
family originally comes from Tripoli.

15th August - Marie is visiting her Greek roots from Melbourne, Australia.
She's a Frikes Raftopoulos. Her tree spans the Ionian from Kythera to Ithaca.
She admits she doesn't speak Greek, but had no problems learning the basics
on her first day on the island as she settled into the Ithacan experience. |

10th - Vagelis is in Kioni again this year, but this time on holiday.
No bar work for this lad when it's this hot.

Michel,
Louisa and Victoria had a wonderful time staying in the village of Lahos.
They flew from Spain to Athens where they sailed a yacht around the Peleponese
and up the Ionian to Ithaca. |

A
whirlwind 3 day visit to Ithaca for Sophia and Peter from Australia. Just
in time to experience the earthquake and it's aftershocks before heading
off again. An earthmoving vacation for these two. They did get to visit family
in Stavros in between quake anxiety.

August
18th - Andrew and Sohie from Surrey Hills, Australia have spent weeks
traveling around Greece and the Greek islands and have ended up on Ithaca
to catch up with friends. If these two had lived in Greece they may never
have met. Andrews family roots are from thessalonika and Sophies' from Kalamata.
Opposite ends of the country. We hope they have great time during their
stay.

August 20th - (Above) Local Kolieri girl, Virginia, and her husband
Manuele live in Milano, but are here on one of their regular visits to Ithaca.
Manuele had been coming to Ithaca for many years before he met and married
Virginia. They bring a little Milano style with them each time they come.
(Right) Angelo and Alexandra. Once bitten, forever addicted. These two have
also become regular visitors to the island. They come from Milano too. Unfortunately
they all leave again on the 31st August. |
