Kioni Panighiri - Summer Festival Ag. Elias ithaca Greece 2019 Festivals

Panighiri attendances have been a little down the past couple of years, but that's not to say they haven't been lots of fun. They have! For locals and tourists alike, it's a great time to let your hair down and forget about all those pesky stresses in our daily lives. Greek dancing and a community party is just the thing for a good old 'knees up' time.

Each village has it's own atmosphere for their annual festival. Kioni, with it's many tavernas and cafes along the bayside, makes this a very colourful one with lights reflecting across the waterside from one of the bay to the other. The sound of music and yacht masts clanking in the distance make up the soundtrack to the Kioni Panighiri - Ag. Lias Festival.
