August 31st - Left - Tommy just can't stay away from Ithaki. She's back this year staying at Minimata House in Vathy where she worked for 2 years. Just when she thinks she's free of Ithaki, she gets an offer too good to refuse. Once it's in your blood..... |

September 2nd - Left - Ananda and Tim Cale are on Ithaca for 1 week to celebrate their Silver Wedding Anniversary. They are here from Gloustershire UK staying in Kioni and celebrating in Frikes. . This pair got more information out of me than I got out of them, but what I did find out was that Tim is a Planner for a Diesel Co and Amanda has her own Glass Engraving business with a website - www.classyglass.co.uk Amanda engraved the glasses for the Harry Potter films. hOME ithaca greece |

4th Sept. - Above - Ithaki has a real live Olympic competitor on the island, Caroline Bartasek, who competed for Australia in Tae Kwondo. She is here for 5 days enjoying the frills of retirement with her boyfriend Matt. She admits there are mixed emotions now the Olympics are over and her team is not taking back a medal, but life is an experience and few of us have the experience that Caroline now has under her belt, let alone the commitment that makes a young girl train her heart out for 6 years, missing out on the life the rest of us can enjoy without such determined discipline restrictions. Medal or no medal, Caroline is a winner in life. We wish her success in whatever she decides to do now she has retired from the sport, and while on Itahki - eat, drink and don't worry about your waistline. |

The small Cruise ferries are still coming into Kioni each afternoon running the local businesses ragged. Quick, quick, get that food down. |

Mick and Irene are in Kioni for the second time. They haven't managed to leave the village and this year haven't even got as far as the beach. They say their Patio is just too good to leave...but not even a swim? When they say they're having a relaxing holiday theyreally mean it. Can't get more relaxed than these two from Aberdeen, UK. |

Friday 10th September - Evaqngelia Maroulis comes to Ithaki from Pireaus in order to see her husband who runs the Ovelistirio in Frikes. She makes many trips back and forth. |

September 13th - Above - Jo Farah and Natasha Stylianou got engaged last week right here on Ithaki. Next year they'll be back for the wedding. Jo Is Lebanese, raised in South Africa and living in the US and Natasha is Ithacan, raised in South Africa and now also living in the US. A little love can go a long way. Jo proved just that when he came to Ithaca to find Natasha to propose. How romantic! Good luck guys. |

15th September - Above L-R - Mark, Baldy, Katherine and Sam sailed into Ithaki today on holiday from the South coast of England. This group seemed to enjoy it's night on shore, especially Mark, who was showing signs that he may have been at sea too long, vigorously gyrating on his chair, simulating ..... Careful you don't go blind. |

September 20th - Vagelis is on a break from Athens where he works at a Casino, to enjoy the company of his friends on Ithaki. |

September 21st - Dave and Wendy are back for a couple of weeks working on the house they bought earlier this year. Thy're in Lefki enjoying the sunsets while the dust settles in their future Exoghi home. |

That's it for another Summer Lodown Who's Here. Summer 2004 may have been a little quieter than other years due to world factors and the Olympics, but the enthusiasm of those who came to Ithaki made up for it.
